Configure Workflow tasks in SAMi Portal
Create Role Request Workflow:
Login to Portal as Administrator. Default login is sam@sidgs.com
Click on the 9 dots menu option in the top-right corner.
Click Applications tab > Process Builder, which will open a Process Builder page.
In Process Builder page, under the Workflow tab will find workflow tasks (Default one process builder with title “Single Approver”)
Click on the + icon on the right to add New Workflow.
On the Add Workflow screen enter the title “Role Request Approver”.
Click on the Source tab and copy paste the below xml content.
Click Publish.
Click the back button on the top-left.
Click on Configuration tab which will redirect to Configurations page where all the assets are listed.
From the list select “Assign Role” and click on the Edit button.
It will open drop down under Workflow Assigned column and select “Role Request Approver” and click on the Save button.
Create User Onboard Workflow:
Navigate back and go to Workflows tab and then click on + icon to add another New Workflow.
On the Add Workflow screen enter the title “User Onboard Approver”.
Click on the Source tab and copy paste the below xml content.
Click Publish.
Click the Back button on top-left.
Click on Configuration tab which will redirect to Configurations page where all the assets are listed.
Scroll down and you find Asset Type “User” and click on the Edit button.
It will open a drop drown under Workflow Assigned column and select “User Onboard Approver” and click on the Save button.
Create Web Content Article Workflow:
Navigate back and go to Workflows tab and then click on + icon to add another New Workflow.
On the Add Workflow screen enter the title “Web Content Article Approver”.
Click on the Source tab and copy paste the below xml content.
Click Publish.
Click on the 9 dots menu option on the top-left corner.
Under sites click on SAMi and will take you to SAMi Home page.
Open left navigation menu and expand Content & Data and click on Web Content.
It will redirect to Web Content page. In this page you will find folder “Products, API Sku, Product Features, SDKs, Product API Spec, FAQs“.
On the folder Products you will find Ellipsis icon. Click on Ellipsis icon and then click on Edit link.
It will redirect to Edit folder screen where you will find section name “Structure Restrictions and Workflow“.
Under this section choose radio button “Default Workflow for This Folder (Products)“.
Which will open a Dropdown section where you will find list of Workflow Approvers names as dropdown values.
Select “Web Content Article Approver“ from the dropdown and click on Save.
Repeat the steps from 9 - 13 for all remaining folders (API Sku, Product Features, SDKs, Product API Spec, FAQs).
Create a Document Workflow:
Navigate back and go to Workflows tab and then click on + icon to add another New Workflow.
On the Add Workflow screen enter the title “Document Approver”.
Click on the Source tab and copy paste the below xml content.
Click Publish.
Click on the menu option (with 9 dots) on the left side top corner.
Under sites click on SAMi and will take you to SAMi Home page.
Open left navigation menu and expand “Content & Data“ and click on “Documents and Media“.
It will redirect to Documents and Media page. Under Documents and Media tab you will find folder “Product Managers“.
On the folder you will find Ellipsis icon. Click on Ellipsis icon and then click on Edit link.
It will redirect to Edit folder screen where you will find section name “Document Type Restrictions and Workflow“.
Under this section choose radio button “Default Workflow for This Folder (Product Managers)“.
Which will open a Dropdown section “Default Workflow for all Document Types“ where you will find list of Workflow Approvers names as dropdown values.
Select “Document Approver“ from the dropdown and click on Save.
Additional step to enable above Workflow tasks “User Onboard“ & “Role Request“.
Click on 9 dots menu options on the top left.
It will open the top slider, where you can find Control Panel tab.
Click on the Control Panel tab.
Now, under CONFIGURATION section click on Instance Settings link – It will open the Instance Settings page.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you can find category.SAM link in OTHER section.
Click on the category.SAM link – It will open SAM Portal Configuration page.
Scroll down and you will find Workflow Enabled section. Enable Workflow Enabled check box.
Click on Update button to save the configurations.
